We'll leave the Surfers Paradise sunrise early and make our way down the Highway straight to the Byron Bay Lighthouse: Start your day with a breathtaking views from the most easterly point of Australia. Stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
Breakfast at Main Beach: After soaking in the sunrise, head to Main Beach for an Australian picnic breakfast.
Byron Bay Markets: Stroll through the vibrant Byron Bay markets. You’ll find everything from local crafts to fresh produce, perfect for a picnic lunch later in the day.

Mid-Morning:
Surfing at The Pass: Hire a surf or boogie board or take a swim and hit the waves at one of Byron’s famous surf spots. If you’re new to surfing, watch the locals or take a lesson from one of the many surf schools.
Explore Cape Byron State Conservation Area: Wander through lush greenery and coastal paths, enjoying the natural beauty and perhaps spotting some local wildlife.
Afternoon:
Picnic at Wategos Beach: Use your market specialty food finds to have a picnic at Wategos Beach. We'll give you time to purchase something from the vast array of food stores in Byron. Relax on the sand, swim in the clear waters, or simply enjoy the scenery.
Hike the Lighthouse Trail: Burn off lunch with a hike on the Lighthouse Trail. The views along the way are spectacular, and you might even see dolphins playing in the waves below.
We then make our way back towards the Gold Coast making a stop at one of the excellent craft breweries and gin makers located in the Tweed Valley area.

Nightlife in Byron Bay: As the night falls, explore Byron Bay’s nightlife with our specialty guide. There are plenty of budget-friendly bars and live music venues where you can experience the town’s laid-back vibe.
Accommodation for the evening is at one of the quality hostels in Byron Bay. If you would like alternative accommodation, just ask.

Recovery brunch 1030am at a local cafe that serves awesome coffee.
